We have a bid of $300 for the opportunity for a one week vacation at
a lake front cottage on Nickerson Lake in Limerick, courtesy of Laura and Scott Young! Year round camp, heated, sleeps 8, two kayaks in warm months, ice fishing in winter. Wed-Wed, dates to be worked out with the Youngs. Or, we currently have a $550 bid for a sail on Casco Bay with skipper Erik Greven, then enjoy a great lunch before docking back at the Portland Yacht Club.
BOTH bids are about half the value!  Go for it!
 
Get two friends and golf at Portland Country Club with Dave Small, now with a bid of $300, or on Frye Island with Bill Ross is at $100. Captain Jaek Bourdeau  has a 1/2 day of light tackle fishing in Casco Bay, with spin or fly rods provided.
We have a bid for the fishing of $175. All three have room to go higher!

How about custom-made Rotary bookends donated by former Portland Rotarian John Tewhey, made by his great-uncle! A current bid of $50 should go up!

 Jon Young donated two bikes, the one here is a Trek 200 Women's Specific Design, easily valued at $500, now has a bid of just $210!  Next, a pair of tickets to the "The Sound of Music", June 8-12 at the Maine State Theater, donated by our friend Olivia Wenner. Current bid is $50, but the tickets go for $90. Bid up and have a great night out!

What is for sale depends on what you donate!
 We need new or gently used that have reasonable expectations to sell. Be creative, and have some fun!
 
Worthy items that you no longer need...let them find a new home. Tools, jewelry, art, decorations, electronics, furniture, signs, musical instruments...
the list is endless. Please though, it needs to have some attraction!
 
New items, the sky is the limit!
Gift Certificates to any retail, restaurant or service...
If you are able, donate something you are willing to share, like a fishing party on your boat, a fine dinner at your house, a weekend at your cabin. You set the rules and the price - raise some money and some fellowship!
 
 
How to Donate - It's Easy!  Now thru April 7th.
Email the following information to Dick Hall
1. A photo of the item, or provide a link to information
2. A few sentences to describe the item
3. Fair Market Value -  If it were being sold at a store
4. Starting Bid, or if warranted, a Minimum Bid
5. Donator's name (It will be displayed on the website)
6. Optional email, phone will not be listed, but will be provided to buyer
7. See below for bulky/heavy hard to handle items.
 
Where to bring items
You can bring the items, including gift certificates you are donating to our Rotary meetings at the Italian Heritage Center. They will be securely stored.

If the item is too bulky and heavy, keep it at your residence. Arrangements can then be made with the winning bidder for either delivery or pick-up. Please indicate this detail when you describe your item, including if delivery is included.
 
So for now, let's concentrate on donations. 
Bidding will run from April 8th to April 15th!

Every spring since the mid-60's, the annual "Mud Sale and Auction" events are HUGE all over Lancaster County, PA,  raising money for local fire stations.
